Al-Ahly qualified at the expense of Congolese Mazembe by three clean goals in the second leg of the semi-finals after a goalless draw in the first leg.

Esperance advanced against Mamelodi Sundowns with a clean double, with an unanswered goal in the first leg and the same in the return.

The Confederation of African Football published a comparison between what El-Shahat and Esperance player Houssem Ghesha presented, as follows:

Al-Shahat played 8 matches, participating in 609 minutes, scoring 3 goals and not making any goals, shooting on goal 5 times, dribbling 12 times, and providing 8 key passes.

Ghesha played 9 matches, participating in 473 minutes, but he did not score or make any goals. He shot on goal only twice, had 19 dribbles and made 4 key passes.

The statistics indicate that El Shahat is more effective against the opponent’s goal than Ghacha, and the Esperance player excels in the number of dribbles only.
