viagramof – Liverpool chief executive Billy Hogan has said the club will undergo a “reset” period following Jurgen Klopp’s departure from Anfield.
The German left Merseyside after nine years, and Klopp has since been replaced by Dutchman Arne Slotty, who arrived from Dutch club Feyenoord.
Liverpool’s owners Fenway Sports Group have sought to reshape the board structure, with Michael Edwards and Julian Ward returning to the club as football executives, Richardo Hoger is the new director of football after arriving from Bournemouth and Pedro Marques is technical area manager.

Speaking to the media, CEO Hogan said: “The departure of Ball is an opportunity to reset and restart, and perhaps look at how things will go in the future.”
“Jurgen Klopp’s departure from Liverpool was a seismic decision but it is clear that it is the right decision for him, his family and therefore the right decision for the club,” he continued. “The timing of his announcement – pre-emptively – has given us the opportunity to start the process again appropriately.”
Liverpool are currently on a pre-season tour of the United States, where they will face Arsenal in Philadelphia before also facing Manchester United in a friendly in South Carolina.
