According to what was confirmed by reliable transfer news journalist Fabrizio Romano, the German club reached a verbal agreement with the Spanish midfielder.
The value of the deal exceeds 18 million euros, in addition to several variables that will increase the total value of the deal.
Romano indicated that the German club booked medical examination appointments this week after it was confirmed that Garcia was absent from the Spain squad for the European Nations Cup (Euro 2024).

It is noteworthy that Barcelona was the club closest to obtaining Garcia’s signature earlier, and sporting director Deco confirmed that the club is interested in the services of the young player.
Garcia is 26 years old and is good at playing as a pivotal midfielder, and his contract with Girona expires in June 2026.
Garcia moved to Girona in July 2021 from Eibar, and since then he has played 172 matches, scoring 8 goals and assisting 21 goals for his teammates.
