Al-Ahly denies negotiations with Mohamed Awad
According to what the journalist “Ahmed Schubert” said on his radio program, there is no truth to the recent rumors regarding Al-Ahly club obtaining the signature of Mohamed Awad, Zamalek’s goalkeeper, in order to include him for free next season.
He pointed out that Mohamed Awad is the main goalkeeper in Zamalek and Al-Ahly does not negotiate with him because he has Mohamed El-Shenawy, Mustafa Schubert, Hamza Alaa, Mustafa Makhlouf, and Mahmoud El-Zanfali as goalkeepers.
Ahmed Schubert stressed that the Zamalek club management will extend Mohamed Awad’s contract, which expires at the end of the current season, within the next few days.
Mohamed Awad became the main goalkeeper in the Zamalek club squad during the current season, due to the Portuguese Jose Gomez’s reliance on him instead of Mohamed Sobhi.
Press reports recently stated that Al-Ahly Club is considering including Mohamed Awad, for free, after the expiration of his contract with Zamalek, at the end of the current season.
