Al-Ahly requests to host the match against Kenyan Gor Mahia in Cairo
According to what was published by the “Youm7” website, the technical staff of Al-Ahly Club, led by the Swiss Marcel Koller, welcomed Cairo hosting the two matches of Gor Mahia of Kenya in the round of 32 of the African Champions League next month.
The website indicated that the Al-Ahly club management is negotiating with its counterpart in Kenyan Gor Mahia regarding hosting the first leg match between the two teams in Cairo, due to the latter’s stadium not being ready to host the match.
Al-Ahly will face its Kenyan counterpart, Gor Mahia, on one of the days of September 13 or 14, while the second leg will be played on one of the days of September 20 or 21 in Cairo.
It is noteworthy that Al-Ahly Club won the African Champions League title for the twelfth time in its history during the last edition, after defeating Esperance Sportive de Tunis in the final match.
