Al-Ahly decides not to sign Yahya Attiyat Allah

According to Al-Ahram newspaper, the Al-Ahly club management backed down from signing Yahya Attiyat Allah, due to his Russian club Sochi’s exaggerated financial demands and insistence on the Moroccan full-back continuing during the next season.

The newspaper confirmed that the Al-Ahly club management has decided to include a local left-back and a foreign left-back to support the left flank next season.

Swiss Marcel Koller, Al-Ahly’s coach, wants to strengthen the left flank of the Reds, due to Ali Maaloul’s injury with a rupture in the Achilles tendon, in addition to his lack of conviction in the levels of the Tunisian’s substitutes, namely Karim El-Dabbas, Karim Fouad, Omar Kamal Abdel-Wahed, and Khaled Abdel-Fattah.

Egyptian press reports have stated throughout the past period that the Swiss Marcel Koller is considering Yahya Attiyat Allah as the first choice to support Al-Ahly’s left flank in the new season.

Al-Ahly will face its counterpart, Tala’ea El-Geish, today, in the thirtieth round of the Egyptian League.

Al-Ahly club defeated Al-Dakhiliya 4-1 last Thursday, in the twenty-ninth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
