viagramof – Ahmed Diab, head of the Egyptian Clubs Association, revealed the fate of the Pyramids match

Diab stated on the “In the Joule” website that what happened was an electrical short that led to a fire that caused the match to be stopped, and not an electrical outage.

The head of the clubs association confirmed that the case falls under the category of force majeure and therefore it will be returned.

The league regulations state that the away team is considered the winner if the power is cut off for 45 minutes, whether continuously or intermittently, but is restored later due to force majeure.

Mohamed Salama, the match referee, announced that the match had been canceled due to a fire breaking out inside the match stadium, which hindered play.

The fire occurred during the Smouha and Pyramids match, due to the presence of a short circuit in the electrical room behind the Alexandria Stadium booth, and the booth was evacuated and the attendees were taken to the field.

The first half of the match ended in a 1-1 draw, as Smouha took the lead through Hossam Hassan from a penalty kick, and Fiston Mayele equalized in the final minutes of the half.
