Zamalek: We rejected the dates of the Egypt Cup
Zamalek’s football director explained in press statements that Zamalek did not agree to the dates set for the Egypt Cup during the Football Association’s meeting with the clubs.
Mr. pointed out that Zamalek ClubHe requested to postpone the Egypt Cup matches, and more than one club requested to postpone the tournament matches so that the players could have a rest period before the start of the new season.
He stressed that Zamalek did not refuse to participate in the Egypt Cup, but it rejected the dates set by the Football Association to resume the competition, noting that coordination will be made with the club’s management to know the final position regarding the decision to participate in the Cup in order to make the final decision.
It is worth noting that the Football Association’s Competitions Committee has set Wednesday, August 21, as the date for the match between Zamalek and Tala’ea El-Geish in the round of 16 of the Egypt Cup.
