According to what was published by the Saudi newspaper “Al-Riyadhiyah”, the Italian Stefano Pioli, coach of Al-Nasr Club, agreed with the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo to rest him from today’s match against Al-Hazem, before playing two important matches within the next 4 days.
The newspaper indicated that the Italian Stefano Pioli decided to rest Cristiano Ronaldo from the match against Al-Hazem today, in order to provide the efforts of the Portuguese international for the match against Al-Wahda, next Friday in the fifth round of the league championship, and then the match against Al-Rayyan of Qatar, on Monday in the second round of the AFC Champions League for the elite.
Today, the Saudi Al-Nassr Club defeated its host, Al-Hazem, by two goals to one, in the round of 32 of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup.
It is noteworthy that Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal in Al-Nassr’s 3-0 victory over Al-Ettifaq, last Friday, in the fourth round of the Saudi Professional League.
