Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk may not be world heavyweight champion without…

Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk could remain the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world for just a few weeks if the International Boxing Federation – as many speculate – takes the belt due to a clause in his contract stipulating a rematch with British rival Tyson Fury. .

Usyk won on Sunday morning in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, by a narrow margin of points and furries to claim the co-championship.

The next contender on the World Boxing Federation list is undefeated Croatian boxer Filip Hrjovic, who will face Britain’s Daniel Dubois on June 1 in the Saudi capital.

If the United States-based international federation follows suit, this fight could become a World Boxing Federation title fight, with the winner being nominated to face former British champion Anthony Joshua later this year.

The World Boxing Federation stripped Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko of his belts in December 2015, 10 days after he held the World Boxing Association, World Boxing Organization and International Boxing Organization titles.

This time there was a clause stipulating that a return match would be organized as it is now.

After finishing their title unification match earlier on Sunday, Usyk said he was committed to a return clause, while Fury made it clear he was looking forward to the clash.
