The French midfielder Aurelien Chuamini misses Real Madrid

French midfielder Aurelien Choumini will miss Real Madrid’s Champions League final against German club Borussia Dortmund next week, Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti said on Friday.

However, Ancelotti has expressed confidence that Tuamini (24) will play for his country at next month’s European Championship in Germany.

The Italian coach said in a press conference that Chuamini, who suffered a stress fracture in his left leg earlier this month, is “doing personal training” ahead of the first leg of the final at Wembley Stadium. Next June.

“I believe he will be ready for the European Cup (June 14 to July 14) and I believe he will be able to reach the necessary level of fitness,” Ancelotti reassured the fans of the French team.

Despite injury, Choumini (31 internationals) was named in Didier Deschamps’ 25-man squad for the continental championship finals this month at No.16.

Choumini was injured in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich and was replaced by compatriot Eduardo Kamavinga in the 70th minute (the match ended in a 2–1 win for Real).

The Royals announced the next day that the midfielder was suffering from a “stress fracture in his left leg”, without specifying how long it would take.

Tshwamini suffered a similar injury in October 2023, and was sidelined for a month and a half at that time.
