Sport 350 – AC Milan coach Paulo Fonseca spoke about the reasons behind the team’s downfall

The match, which was hosted by Ennio Tardini Stadium, witnessed a double for the home team through Dennis Mann and Matteo Cancelleri, while Milan’s only goal was scored by Christian Pulisic.

Fonseca said in statements reported by: Football Italia website, “I have to say that the main responsibility for what happens with this team lies with me.”

He continued: “I take responsibility and I do not want to evade it, however it is clear to me that there is a collective problem related to defense and ferocity.”

Fonseca explained his idea by saying: “This team suffers from a problem in general. We faced problems when we did not put high pressure on Torino.”

He continued: “Today we tried to make the players press higher, and we still have problems.”

Milan coach added: “We were negative, the problem is related to the players’ behaviour, energy and desire to defend as a team.”

It is noteworthy that Milan had tied in the first round against Torino with a score of 2-2, and the team will play the next round against Lazio at the Olympic Stadium in Rome next Saturday.
