Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup

Saudi 360 – The Saudi Football Federation announced today, Wednesday, the decision to increase the number of reserve players for the teams participating in the new edition of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup competition.

Reserves increased to 12 players in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup

The Saudi Football Association decided to increase the maximum number of reserve players to 12 players in the matches of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, 2024-2025 edition, with the minimum being 5 players in reserve.

The Football Association stated in its statement that paragraph (1) of Article (20) of the regulations for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup competition for the current season, regarding reserve players, has been amended, as it was decided to increase them from a maximum of 9 players to a maximum of 12 players.

The Saudi Federation statement added that the decision comes in line with the Asian Championships system, and gives coaches the opportunity to have more options than players.

The decision also aims to give age group players the opportunity to participate in this tournament, which will start on September 22.

The first round of the new edition of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup will be held on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from September 22 to 25.

The round of 32 of the King’s Cup will witness easy matches for the major teams, as Al-Hilal will meet Al-Bukayriyah, Al-Ahly will face Al-Jandal, Al-Ittihad will meet Al-Ain, and Al-Nasr will face Al-Hazm.
