Al-Essa said in his interview on the “Koura” program broadcast on the “Rotana Khalijiya” channel: “Negotiations with the players were not easy during the summer period, and we negotiated with Tony and Osimhen at the same time due to the lack of time.”

He continued: “Ivan Tony was the most serious about representing Al-Ahly and the most beneficial to us, and we made the right decision and concluded the deal in the end.”

Khaled Al-Essa added: “The Ivan Tony deal did not receive the warm welcome it deserved from the club’s fans. My family Jeddah Because some people just want to settle scores.”

He added: “We agreed with Al-Shabab on the amount of the contract with Mutab Al-Harbi and we received a promise that the player would be ours if we paid the amount, and the rest was just to implement the procedures, but at one point we found that the deal had been transferred to Al-Hilal.”

He continued: “All respect to Al-Shabab Club, but we had ruled out Mutab Al-Harbi’s transfer to Al-Hilal because of what happened between the two clubs earlier, and we were going to issue a statement like Al-Nassr, but after that we decided to back down.”
