Saudi 360 – Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Olympique de Marseille striker, sent a farewell message to his team’s fans after agreeing to move to Saudi club Al-Qadisiyah during the current summer transfer window.

Aubameyang: I followed my father’s advice.. Thank you Marseille

Aubameyang said in his message on the social networking site “Instagram”: “Thank you Marseille, I had an emotional year, and I would like to take this moment to thank all the club’s members, from the staff, players and fans.”

He added: “I am keen to follow my father’s advice, without him I would not have reached the stage I have reached, and that is why I made the decision to leave and look for my next step. It is time to start a new chapter in my career.”

Aubameyang continued: “I thank Mr. Frank Court, the club’s owner, and Mr. Pablo Longaria, the CEO, for accepting my decision to leave.”

The former Chelsea and Arsenal star concluded by saying: “Thank you, fans, for the warmth and passion shown to me, and for getting to know you and the Stade Velodrome.”

Aubameyang signs a two-year contract with Saudi club Al-Qadisiyah, to play alongside former Real Madrid star Nacho Fernandez, in the upcoming 2024/25 season.
