Saudi 360 – Former Chelsea coach Mauricio Pochettino has become one of the prominent names nominated to take over the leadership of the Saudi Al-Ittihad, succeeding his compatriot Marcelo Gallardo, who is likely to leave at the end of the current season.
Pochettino is one of Al-Ittihad’s training options
Reliable journalist Ben Jacobs confirmed, through his account on the “X” social media platform, that there is indeed interest from the Federation in contracting with Mauricio Pochettino, despite the lack of direct contact with him following his departure from coaching Chelsea.
Ben Jacobs explained that Pochettino’s position on training in the Saudi League is still unclear, with the possibility of other European options appearing before him.
He stated that Ramon Blanes is the club’s sporting director the UnionHe has an excellent relationship with Pochettino, and this could facilitate the deal for the second to come to succeed Gallardo, if he leaves.
He added: “Al-Ittihad Club is ready to make an offer worth 50 million euros for a period of 3 years to its new coach.”
It is noteworthy that the English club Chelsea announced on Tuesday, Pochettino’s departure from the leadership of the Blue Team by mutual consent after only one season.
There is real interest in Mauricio Pochettino from Saudi Arabia, although there has been no direct contact with him yet in the wake of his departure from Chelsea.
