Real Madrid will face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final on Saturday, June 1.

Real Madrid will meet Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, June 1 in the Champions League final at Wembley Stadium, where Italian Carlo Ancelotti can win his fourth title as manager, more than any other manager in the competition’s history.

The Merengue improved their record by winning their 15th Champions League title, beating Dortmund once in 1997 before losing to Bayern Munich in the 2013 final at Wembley Stadium.

Royal Club’s journey to the finals of the competition has been different, most recently with a 4-3 home-and-away win over Bayern Munich in the semi-finals, 4-3 on aggregate.

Borussia Dortmund beat Paris Saint-Germain two goals back to keep their progress to the final on aggregate from two home and away games.

Dortmund reached the final for the first time since 2013, losing 2-1 to Bayern Munich at Wembley Stadium in the final, the team’s only trophy since defeating Juventus in Munich in 1997.

Although the team will be returning to the stadium where they were defeated in the 2013 final, former Liverpool player Emre Can is confident that his side will be determined to give it their all against a rival who has won the competition 14 times in the past.
